Walton-on-the-Naze is a decidedly below average beachbreak in Essex that only breaks once in a while, on either massive winter N swells, or rare S/SE. About the only option in the area, thanks to the pier giving the local sandbars slightly better shape. Best an hour or two either side of high tide, on light WNW wind. Watch out for pier, groynes and rips. Parking and services in town.
