Classic Brittany spot - 10km+ consistent bay stretching north from the eponymous setup, offering a huge array of peaks to pick from. All tides, but best around mid. La Torchè itself is a walled up A-frame breaking near the south headland - long lefts that belt down the beach, plus a shorter right breaking into 'l'ascenseur' (the elevator) - the rip alongside the rocks that'll sweep you right back out to the lineup. The main peak is generally a little smaller on a south westerly swell vs the more exposed A-frames further up the bay.

Paddle out otherwise can be brutal when bigger (use the elevator for the main peak), plus watch out for rocks and flash rips. Very crowded.

Parking, feral toilets, occasional (when not broken) showers, surf school, shop and bar. Overflow parking further back in field. Limited amounts of height unrestricted parking, aire de camping car behind overflow, for taller vans.
