Fistral, the most famous surf spot in the UK, and home to a range of quality breaks, surf pros and a large local contingent. Swell magnet, and working tide round, if you're not getting anything here, you're likely not getting anything anywhere around.

Breaks (N to S):

• Little Fistral - high performance, fast, hollow beachbreak at the north end. Works best around low, with a SE wind. Disappears around high tide, crowded, rocky. Parking on headland.
• North Fistral - consistent, crowded, can get hollow around low, rippy when big. Contests galore.
• South Fistral - generally a little smaller, some shelter from SW winds. Parking on Pentire headland

Then of course there's The Cribber, the famous, fickle, big-wave spot, for big wave surfers only.

Rocky, rippy, crowded (particularly in summer), parking is quickly filled. Intermediate+
