Holywell is a scenic beachbreak that can be pretty decent on its day, and is often less crowded than its Newquay neightbours. Peaks around the rivermouth, and off the northern headland in particular, get better shape. Best around mid tide, as high can see the beach close down in size and get busier.

Camping, parking, cafe and pub in village, 10 min easy walk through dunes. Surf shop and school on beach.
