Portreath is a somewhat sheltered fairly average beachbreak proposition, that gets dumpy at high, along with a notoriously heavy, localised ledge reef right off the tip of the harbour wall that only works at high, for experts only. Ideally SE winds, but shelter from prevailing SW.

Crowded, rocky, intermediate+. Parking at beach, plus facilities in town.
