Tolcarne is one of the Newquay town beaches. Less consistent/more sheltered than Lusty Glaze, but more consistent/less sheltered than Great Western or Towan. Some wind shelter from S. Works most tides - generally average beach break A-frames, but there's also a high tide left wedge that's hugely crowded with bodyboarders when working.
