Known as East Anglia's best beachbreak due to the chalk reefs that lend the wave some shape, and as a result, one of the most crowded.

A-frames up and down the beach. Reef out back blocks the swell at low tide, best mid to mid-high, and tends to be bigger on the push. Can fatten out and get shorebreaky towards high. Picks up any swell in the area, best on N/NE, with S wind. Paid parking on (low) cliff and walk down. Watch out of longshores, rips, and sharp flints on the inside, particularly around high tide. Can get crowded - Sheringham to the west can offer similar (often slightly smaller) waves, and fewer crowds.
