Scratby is a fast, sometimes hollow, sandy bottomed beachbreak. It works tide round, on N through to SE swells, with long lefts to be had in big N swells. Ideal wind from the SW/W. Unlike its neighbouring breaks to the north the lack of groynes makes for brutal longshore drift and rips. Cliff top car park that fills up fast.
