Southwold is a slow, very inconsistent beachbreak that generally only breaks in bigger N, or very rare S/SE, swells. Offering small, wedging waves off the groynes, it works best at low to mid tide on light WNW wind. Watch out for groynes, pier and rips. Lots of parking and services in town.
