Broughton Bay is mainly known for the mellow, long, left breaking under the western headland that can run for quarter of a klick on big, wrapping, S/SSW swells. Works towards high tide. Some shelter from S/SE winds. Huge tidal range. Crowds when 'gennith is maxed out. Primarily sand, but some reef. Strong rip away from the lineup - intermediate+
