Machrihanish is the south end of a long stretch of beachbreak peaks. Often slightly smaller, but higher quality than Westport to the north, particularly low to mid, thanks to the rivermouth sculpted sandbar peaks. Some shelter from S/SW gales under the S headland. If too big, check out Caravans.

Popular, due to its proximity to Glasgow, but can handle a fair crowd. Gets rippy, rocky.
