Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl) is a huge (7-km), and very popular beachbreak on the end of the Llyn that hoovers up most swell going. Generally best mid to high, with a N/NE wind.

Breaks:

• Main beach - huge expanse of sand and occasional reef peaks. Some shelter from westerlies under northern headland.
• The Reef - sand covered reef hollow right off the southern headland around high. Crowded takeoff when working.
• The Corner - mellow reef left off northern headland at mid to high, with shelter from W/SW.

Rippy at size, rocky, jellies over summer. Gets busy near parking, but spread out - can handle a crowd. Car parking and camping west of Llanengan towards southern end, plus camping towards northern end. Pubs in village, shops/schools in Abersoch.
