Sandside is a somewhat sheltered bay that cleans up big SW/W swell plus tailing south westerlies, and has a few reef and beach setups. Quality left reef south of the harbour on the west headland, mid to high, overlooked by. Occasional rights of the eastern reef, plus rippy beachbreak A-frames.

Overlooked by nuclear power station that occasionally results in radioactive flotsam found on the beach. Otherwise, rips, rocks, all the usual to contend with.
