Saunton is likely the defining UK longboard beachbreak. Long, slow, walls with peaks along the length of the beach. Some shelter from N winds under northern headland.

Huge tidal range and associated currents and rips. Very crowded in summer. Very polluted, check SSRS before paddling out and skip if rain forecast - local water company wastes no time in dumping sewage given any excuse. Paid parking, plus facilities, shops and schools.
