Beadnell Bay is a popular and fairly consistent Northumberland beachbreak that can offer a bit of shelter in winter swells, but gets busy in summer.

** Peaks: A frame sand and reef bottom peaks up and down the beach. Lots to pick from, can handle a crowd. During small N, look to creek mouth at middle of bay where sandbars can help give wave shape. In bigger N some shelter to north of bay, including from following winds, towards high tide, breaking over a patch of reef.

Tide: All.

Swell: N/NE/E. NE ideal, but bit of a local swell magnet.

Wind: SW/W

Hazards: rocks/reef, rips, crowds.

Access, parking & facilities: decent size paid parking with toilets to north end of beach, small paid carpark at south end. Campsite, cafe, pubs in town.
