Whitesands is a popular, fairly consistent, beachbreak in a pretty bay. Works all tides. A-frames up and down, plus a left off the north headland, it favours a W swell, as the islands block SW (check out nearby Newgale if SW swell). Friendly atmosphere, despite often getting pretty busy, particularly over summer.

Paid parking just behind beach, along with cafe, facilities and camping nearby, including one pretty much on the beach.
