Paignton is a very fickle beachbreak set on the town's distinctive red sands. Only works in huge SW winter swells, or very rare E channel windswell, but can be fun enough on its day. Sandbars tend to be best around the pier, but there's a long stretch to pick from in the rare cases it gets that busy (worth a drive along and check out as you're arriving). Something at all tides, best with a light W offshore.

Some rocks, rippy when big, and obviously watch out for the pier pilings if you're nearby. Parking and facilities in town.
